The project was a collaboration between the IDEA project, Ying Wa College, and HKUspace students to design a proposal for and one-week workshop with the students in Cambodia. The design team developed a single classroom with small storage space in rural Cambodia. The school facades become different bases on which kids can play to push their creativity and engage with the area. The building is raised from the ground to prevent flooding during raining season. Additional steppings create a fluid transition that surrounds the classroom walls. The walls offer places of relaxation, places to climb and to draw. While also creating an
outdoor playground as the central place of gathering.
